At Shush we offer the ideal environment to capture your musical creativity. Combining the latest facilities and technology required in a modern recording studio with a relaxed and enthusiastic attitude.

However, as we all know, clever technology can't inject emotion into a recording, so we simply provide you with a creative environment, second to none, to help you deliver that killer performance.

The live room accommodates a versatile range of both acoustically bright and neutral areas, with a natural ambience ideal for the recording of drums, electric and acoustic instruments

We also have two booths, mainly used for instruments and amps that require no room sound. The near zero reflection is great for vocals.

State of the art recording and editing.

The control room has been acoustically treated to avoid standing waves that may interfere with the mixing process. Excellent acoustics are essential for accurate monitoring.

The most important links in any modern recording studio, are the Analogue to Digital (A/D-D/A) converters. These critical components, which convert your analog input signal into digital information, must be of the highest quality to ensure good audio fidelity.

Shush uses two MOTU HD192™ high-definition 192-kHz audio interface systems to deliver simultaneous inputs & outputs with enough processing power for almost limitless audio tracks. Each track can be assigned full automation, EQ and effects parameters.

All of this is controlled by the powerful Apple™ Mac dual processor G5 computer running the very latest Pro Tools compatible MOTU software. The Mac also hosts the award-winning UAD-1 Digital Signal Processor card and effects processor Plug-ins.

A full complement of outboard effects, valve pre-amps, gates & limiters et cetera are housed in an easy to access rack. We also have various guitar & bass amplifiers and effects units.
